Independent Publisher Notice

Killer Bee Press is an independent publisher of original tabletop roleplaying adventures, fantasy settings, fiction, maps, handouts, and related materials.

Killer Bee Press is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise officially connected with Wizards of the Coast LLC or Paizo Inc. References to compatible game systems are provided solely to identify the rules systems with which certain Killer Bee Press products are designed to be used.

Each product identifies the rules systems it supports. Product-specific licensing notices, declarations, and attributions govern that product if they differ from this general website notice.

2014 Fifth Edition Compatibility — SRD 5.1

Some Killer Bee Press products are designed for use with the original 2014 Fifth Edition rules and may incorporate or adapt material from System Reference Document 5.1.

Compatibility with one ruleset should not be assumed unless it is identified in the product description or within the product itself.

Pathfinder Second Edition Compatibility and ORC License

Some Killer Bee Press products are designed for use with Pathfinder Second Edition, including the remastered rules, and may incorporate Licensed Material made available under the Open RPG Creative License, commonly known as the ORC License.

Each ORC-licensed Killer Bee Press product contains its own ORC Notice identifying the Licensed Material and Reserved Material applicable to that product. Material not expressly designated as Licensed Material remains Reserved Material to the extent permitted by the ORC License and applicable law.

Where a Killer Bee Press product uses Pathfinder compatibility terminology or compatibility marks under the Paizo Compatibility License, the following applies:

The use of Pathfinder compatibility language does not imply that Paizo has reviewed, approved, sponsored, or endorsed any Killer Bee Press product.

Artificial Intelligence–Assisted Production

Killer Bee Press uses artificial intelligence–assisted tools as part of its production process. Depending on the project, these tools may assist with editorial refinement, organization, formatting, layout development, visual production, proofreading, production troubleshooting, or other supporting tasks.

The original concepts, settings, characters, plots, adventure ideas, worldbuilding, and creative direction published by Killer Bee Press originate with its human creators. Artificial intelligence is used as a production tool and does not replace human authorship, judgment, or creative control.

All released products are directed, reviewed, revised, and approved by human creators before publication. Killer Bee Press remains responsible for the creative and editorial decisions contained in its finished products.

Killer Bee Press Intellectual Property

Unless expressly identified as material used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License, Licensed Material under the ORC License, or other third-party material used with permission, all original Killer Bee Press settings, characters, stories, artwork, maps, trade dress, logos, product names, written material, and other creative elements are reserved by Killer Bee Press.

This includes the original setting of Whale’s Landing and its original locations, organizations, characters, stories, and related creative material.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Killer Bee Press claims copyright and other applicable rights in its human-authored expression, creative direction, selection, coordination, arrangement, editing, design, layout, and other original contributions.

Nothing on this website grants permission to reproduce, redistribute, publicly post, sell, sublicense, or create commercial derivative products from Killer Bee Press Reserved Material without prior written permission.

Digital Products and Personal Use

Purchasing or downloading a Killer Bee Press digital product grants the purchaser a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to:

Download and store the product for personal use.
Print reasonable copies for personal use.
Use the product in private tabletop or virtual tabletop game sessions.
Share necessary player-facing materials with participants in the purchaser’s private game.

Unless expressly authorized in writing, purchasers may not:

Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or publicly upload the product or any portion of it.
Share download files or purchase links that provide unauthorized access.
Extract and redistribute artwork, maps, handouts, tokens, or written content as standalone products.
Use Killer Bee Press material in another commercial product.
Use Killer Bee Press material to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or build an artificial intelligence or machine-learning system.
Remove or alter copyright, attribution, licensing, or trademark notices.
